More US troops have died this month than in March 2003 - the month in the invasion began.
The US Ambassador to Iraq, however, notes that attacks are down 25% in Iraq since the surge began. Since we already know that there were over 1,000 weekly attacks in Iraq in January of this year, Its reasonably safe to assume that weekly attacks are now in the 700 to 800 range.

There is no good news in Iraq. John McCain told Bill Bennett on his radio show that the two of them could walk the streets of Baghdad, without fear.
The"surge" is prolonging a losing cause for oil.

No mention will ever be made of the deterioration of the situation along the Turkish border, of course. And death rates sure as hell aren't going down, for all of this supposed decrease in attacks.
